The poroton U cups are mainly used at the top of the wall to forming ring beam. The U cups with steel bars and concrete fill are a perfect solution at wall plate level. The formed ring beam and the concrete gives you the freedom to fit any type of roof to your building. We also use the Porotherm U blocks as a lintel above wider opening. The precast lintel available up to 2.5m (minus 2x150mm bearing) so above 2.3m wide openings we use these clay U blocks to form a massive (insulated) lintel. Available sizes (width): 240mm, 300mm, 365mm, 425mm.

Insulated Poroton Porotherm Clay U-Cups

The U shell is a clay shutter for concrete. Suitable for ring beam at wall plate level or forming lintel above wider (from 2.2m) openings. This type can be used without exterior insulation.

The Insulated U cups ( with mineral wool or perlite) are used on the single leaf wall without any external insulation on the block work. The insulated part of the U cup facing to the outside and help to avoid any cold bridge through the concrete part. Available sizes (width): 300mm, 365mm, 425mm.

Available to purchase individually or by pallet.
